ー Our Home's Prayer Poem by Hideo Saito
Morning and evening,
Just as we clean our home,
Morning and evening,
Let us cleanse our own hearts.
So that no dust of sorrow remains,
Nor sand of envy,
Nor stones of anger,
Nor dust of anxiety,
Let's dispose of them all cleanly.
And with a sincere heart,
Let us pray to our Guardian Spirits.
May peace be in our homes and countries.
May peace Prevail on Earth.
May we be endowed with love, truth, and courage.
To love oneself,
To love others,
To forgive oneself,
To forgive others,
Let's nurture and encourage each other,
Creating a joyful world of love and forgiveness.
The happy memories,
As well as the painful experiences,
The past has all vanished.
Let's stop the pointless delving into what's gone,
And earnestly dedicate ourselves to the work given today.
And as for tomorrow, and the wisdom and strength we lack,
Let's entrust them always to our Guardian Spirits who protect us.
Morning and evening,
Just as we clean our home,
Morning and evening,
Let us cleanse our own hearts.
