Daily Guiding Principles
ー Written by Masami Saionji
1.
There are times when people feel an urge to boast.
Without being asked, they flaunt their intelligence, or without inquiry, they broadcast their virtues.
It's embarrassing.
It's sad.
It's lonely.
They probably take pride in having their greatness acknowledged by others.
But, even without one's own proclamation, others will certainly notice one's hidden talents and virtues.
Especially so, heaven!
2.
No matter what happens around them, those who can clearly demonstrate their own path without being swept up in the whirlwind are remarkable.
It's not something that can be done unless one has considerable confidence in themselves.
People with weak hearts feel compelled to walk the same path as those around them, fearing that they will be isolated if they don't.
Only those who continue to seek and gaze upon God can achieve this.
3.
Goi Sensei's (Master Goi) teachings are rooted in the ultimate goal of human beings, so the intermediate stages are not really an issue. Therefore, those who are attracted solely by the benefits may not find much satisfaction at first. However, as time goes by, one naturally realizes that their goals have elevated. The benefits and miracles occur in the process of reaching the ultimate goal, and since no one can skip the intermediate stages to directly reach the end, everyone ultimately receives these benefits and miracles while achieving the inherent purpose of humanity, which is the unity of God and self.
4.
If one's joy is also God's joy, and one's wishes are God's wishes, then there could be nothing more wonderful. Like the unity of God and self, and the oneness of God and man, if one's happiness leads to the ultimate bliss of God, there would be no trace of a wandering heart. For this purpose, one should always turn their heart towards the heart of God, living with the awareness of the truth that God and oneself are one.
