If you go and train in the mountains, sit under waterfalls, and spend long hours in seated meditation, it may be hard in a physical sense. But to me, that kind of training seems fairly easy, because you went there with that purpose in mind, and you have nothing but that to do. In the mental or spiritual sense, it is not so very taxing. On the other hand, if you live in the city and are tied down with matters of everyday life, it is a different story. You never know what is going to happen, or when. In that situation, it is much more difficult to practice oneness with your divine self. People in the old days had a very good saying: ‘A great saint is born from the town.’ It is so, just as they said.
